Eid Mubarak!
As the blessed month of Ramadan comes to an end, it is time for Muslims around the world to prepare for the joyous celebration of Eid al-Fitr. This special occasion marks the culmination of a month of fasting, prayer, and reflection, and serves as a reminder of the importance of unity, gratitude, and compassion in our lives.
Essentialls of Eid al-Fitr
One of the essential aspects of Eid al-Fitr is the Eid prayer, which brings the community together in a spirit of thanksgiving and brotherhood. Attending the Eid prayer is highly encouraged as it allows Muslims to express their gratitude to Allah (SWT) for the strength and patience they have shown during Ramadan. Moreover, the prayer serves as a reminder of the importance of maintaining the virtues and good habits developed during the fasting month throughout the year.
We are excited to announce that Hidayah Academy will be hosting Eid al-Fitr Salah on April 21, 2023. The Takbeerat will begin at 9:20 am, followed by Salah at 9:30 am, led by Br. Assem Salama. The prayer will be held at 20685 Fernbank Court, Sterling, VA 20165. We encourage all community members to join us in this special moment.
Khatamul Qu’ran & Dua: Completed!
To conclude the blessed month of Ramadan, Hidayah Academy hosted a Khatamul Qu’ran and Dua program last night. The program, led by Br. Assem Salama was an excellent opportunity for the community to come together to recite and complete the Holy Qu’ran and engage in heartfelt supplications.
Zakat al-Fitr
As we prepare for Eid, it is important to remember the less fortunate in our communities and fulfill our obligations towards them by giving out Zakat al-Fitr. This charitable act ensures that everyone can partake in the joy and blessings of Eid.
As we bid farewell to the blessed month of Ramadan, let us embrace the joyous occasion of Eid al-Fitr with gratitude and enthusiasm. We hope to see you at the Eid prayer where we can strengthen our bonds with our fellow Muslims and maintain the spiritual momentum gained during Ramadan. May Allah (SWT) accept our fasting, prayers, and good deeds and grant us a joyful and blessed Eid.
